For Every Action There is an Opposite and Equal and sometimes less equal Reaction.

So as most of you know there was a protest at filer high school. Also that I was escorted by the cops to class! Which at the time I was very proud of but now I have a little bit of guilt. Because not only will I most likely receiving an F for the day in my class I have a large chance of having Saturday school....awesome right??! I think this is quite ridiculous but the Vice Principal told be I should be lucky that I didnt have charges up on me and that I wasnt thrown in jail. Dude some people take school a little too seriously we're kids let us have some fun!

Filer High School Protest!!

The Filer High School Protest!!

Well on Thursday the 6th a water pipe broke and we were told we were going to get out at 12:30. So as were sitting in our second to last hour class the principal got on the intercom and said that school was not going to be cancelled and we would have to stay there. Well the thing that made us really angry was that the school had already sent emails home to parents saying we were getting out, they already had the buses at the school, and they had passed it with the school board. We all were really upset. So after our second to last hour class most of the student body went and sat in the foyer. It was pretty awesome! After about five minutes of us sitting out there the principal got on the intercom and said if you aren't to class in two minutes then you will be marked tardy. Well only a group freshmen got up and went to class the rest of us just sat there. About four minutes later the principal gets on the intercom again and says if you don't go to class I will call all of your parents and all of you will get marked absent in your class. After saying this another small group of students got up and left. Well the group I was in we were determined to not leave because in the Constitution it says we have the right to peacefully assemble. So after a while of sitting there a couple people thought it would be funny to go to the cafeteria and sit so all of us got up and went to the cafeteria. Then a couple of more minutes passed and someone said lets go to the Band Room so we all did. When we were all in the band room the principal got on the intercom one last time and said if you do not go to class you will be marked truant and get an F for the day. Well most of us tried to go back to class at this point but the teachers had their doors locked. So we couldn't get into the classes, so a bunch of kids just left. Well right as my friend Nykole and I are about to leave we see our principal standing by the door with two cops. So we decided just to keep walking. When we got to the door a group of people were standing outside it and our Principal said if any of you want to go to class I will take you. So I ended up having the class the farthest away so in the end I was escorted to class by a cop and my principal. All I have to say is that was the most EPIC DAY OF MY LIFE AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN IN A HEART BEAT!!!
